Nurture relationships

Daily writing prompt
Create an emergency preparedness plan.

With all the experiences, I can safely say that the best way to be prepared for an emergency plan is to nurture relationships.

Emergency could be anywhere and for anything.

  • It could be in business like some important breakdown, fire, accident, financial loss etc
  • Emergency could be at the country level like political instability, war, famine etc
  • Emergency could be at the local societal level like corona, communal unrest, natural calamity, etc
  • Emergency could be at the family level like someone requiring help in some other city.
  • It could be at a personal level like medical help etc.

Conventionally we are taught and advised many things like

  • keeping liquid cash
  • spreading out investments
  • have emergency medicines at home etc
  • have adequate medical insurance etc

In the last few decades, I have experienced many kinds of emergency-like situations. In almost all cases, it is your immediate neighbour who is the first line of support. The best preparedness for an emergency is nurturing relationships.

Nurture relationships

  • At the industrial level with your neighbouring industries, government officials, customers, suppliers, bank officers, and participate in industrial associations for networking.
  • with your neighbors where you live.
  • within your family
  • have some good friends with whom you can share everything.
