What principles define how you live?
In Life, we play many roles like that of father, husband, son, friend, etc.
Similarly, there are many fields where we exist daily like as a neighbor, as a citizen in society and country, as a professional in work where some people report to you and to some you report. At work there are people who owe you money and to some you owe.
There are many principals that I follow depending upon what role I am playing or what field I am in. But if a single principal that has stood me in time is – think good to everyone.
Being a follower of spiritual wisdom, I am taught that in your thoughts and actions, if you think good for everyone, chances of success are very high. Your prayers are also answered if you do not intend harming anyone. God or universe wants every living being to prosper and live happily.
Let us consider an example. While formulating growth strategy for business, my thought may be to harm my competitors. Another way could be I am not thinking of my competition at all. All I am thinking is to grow to take care of my family, to bring happiness and prosperity to people working under me, to contribute to the growth of my country etc.
In both the cases, action may be the same but thoughts behind are different. In Hindu philosophy, it is the thought behind an action is more important than the action itself.
That is why the famous representation of our philosophy is VASUDHAIVA KUTUMBAKAM meaning the whole world is one family.
This is the principal I try to follow in all my actions and deeds.
