My father was my most influential teacher because-
- He always shared his knowledge, wisdom, learnings but never compelled me to follow. He encouraged me to learn from his experiences but chart my own course.
- He ensured that I had the best possible resources.
- He created the best growing and learning environment for me.
- He let me handle my challenges.
- He did not interfere with my struggles.
- He let me fall, experience failures and bruises.
- He never offered his opinion until asked and then he had the best solution for me to follow.
- While he let me face my challenges, struggles, falls, he was always there watching my back. He always held me, motivated me , helped me to bounce back.
- Instead of giving ready solutions, he kindled my thinking faculty.
- He listened deeply when I talked.
- He himself led the life he wanted his children to live. I learnt by observing him.
- He demonstrated the importance of hard work and taking responsibilities.
He was my GURU – a teacher who taught me how to live life.
