At 25 years of age I thought there were a few areas where I had authority. I am in control.
A decade later I found there are some gaps in the fields where I thought I had some authority.
Again a decade later I thought there is lot more to learn in those subjects.
A decade later I realised I am still a learner.
Now with authority I can say that when one claims he has authority over a subject, it means in relative terms, he knows more than the people around. Perhaps he has limited himself to tunnel vision.
Once you think you have an authority over a subject, just broaden your horizon and you will find a load of new knowledge and skill waiting.
World does not need people with complete authority. World needs people who are continuous learners. They are the ones who keep on opening new doors to development.
With authority I can say that I have no authority over any subject. There is so much to learn, so much to act upon because till you take action, you cannot master. Perhaps this learning process will continue till the last day.
Another way to look at the question is: what skill-sets you have. Providing a certain degree or qualifications in an area of expertise so that you can be hired for work.
So correct…👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. We learn something or the other everyday, from every person we meet, from young to old….These days I am learning so much from the younger generation…new technologies, new gadgets and so on…so much to learn…. everyday 😍😍😍😍
Avoid it, if it ain’t your job, and if they don’t pay you tell them to go fuck themselves until they do.
