It is said that money making is an art. But for that art to happen you need skill. It is the creative use of skill that one creates art.
It is this skill that I would like to learn from the people who feature in the list of richest people on earth.
Most of us put in hard work in our daily lives but the earnings are not proportionate. On the contrary, we feel that many of the rich ones around do not seem to put in that much of hard work. On the contrary we see them enjoying the luxuries of life while others work for them. This means that hard work alone is not sufficient.
There has to be some kind of skill they must have where they sense an opportunity, select right kind of people, create a suitable business model, put in right amount of money and then relax while others mint money for them. To us they may seem to relax but actually they should have an intense monitoring and planning mechanism. This is skill I want to learn from them.
How to think 5 or 10 years ahead and work on an idea or a product which people may want is the skill I want to learn from them.
Money is not good or bad. Actually, money doesn’t mean anything by itself. It is the recognition that world gives for a useful work done, useful in the eyes of others. To figure out what is the product or service for which people will give your more money, is the skill I want to learn from them.
