People know me as a person. My views on people and situations are known to many.
But truth may be different.
I may be a different person than what people know me.
I may harbor emotions and views on people who wouldn’t know until I tell.
There are –
- lots of vices and weaknesses which are hidden from the majority of people.
- lots of mistakes I have made which I repent now and have been too embarrassed to admit.
- lots of achievements which I have not taken credit for.
In an autobiography, it is the place to tell the truth.
Truth because –
- people may understand what situations and circumstances led to my behavior which at that time they did not like.
- my children and youngsters may not make the same mistakes.
- my conscience remains clear.
- my achievements may inspire others
But will it be easy to write?
That is why I would begin my book with –
” As I proceed along writing this book, I hope my hands do not tremble in continuing to write truth as it was, for this autobiography is not meant to be analyzed, it is not meant to put me under scrutiny, but to understand me as a person that I am. I gave my best and continued to learn. This book bares me all!”
