Why I should blog was the question I asked myself before I took to blogging. I was writing anyway. I was writing diaries, travelogues, experiences, emotions, and whatever came to my mind. What is the purpose of making your private thoughts or writings public I asked myself.
When I was in school, writing was one of the most essential parts of the academic curriculum. The handwriting had to be good, practice had to be done for cursive writing, and ballpoint pens were not allowed till we came to college. In fact, we had to write with a pencil till class 8. Then for the next 4 years, it used to ink pen.
As we came to college, taking notes was important. Writing to remember was the common advice. We filled reams and reams of paper to remember our course. The more we wrote, the clearer the concepts became, the clearer the concepts became, the more we remembered.
Besides writing, reading was another habit that elders tried to build. In school, we had to get classics issued from the library and how many books we read were noted. It was said that the mind evolves when you read. There are thoughts, ideas, and stories that resonate with you and the more you read more you go on absorbing what relates to you.
Years later, as a part of professional training, I read a book called “Zero Second Thinking by Yuji Akaba“. It said that when you write without thinking, you write whatever comes to your mind. With continued practice, thoughts started getting organized and channelized, mental confusions sorted out gradually, and productivity increased.
Then a friend introduced me to blogging. Here I found many having similar thoughts. I enjoy reading them. Their writings give me new ideas, and gives shape to my loosely connected thoughts. The digital world is growing. It is influencing kids, youngsters and policy makers. Collective thoughts in the digital world will surely influence the policies and ultimately lives of people. Maybe through my writings, I will contribute to this.
Now almost 4 months into blogging, friends ask about a motive to earn. Maybe SEOs, keywords, metaverses, and AdSense approvals can wait for a while. The focus is on the content at the moment. Let the mind think correctly, and let words flow out of seamlessness. Google rankings can wait for a while and this is why I blog.
Very nicely written the purpose
Thank you so much
